SMIC is China’s largest semiconductor foundry, specializing in contract chip manufacturing based on designs provided by fabless semiconductor companies. Its major customers include Cambricon and Huawei, among others.
SMIC is the leading manufacturer in China capable of supporting a wide range of technologies, from mature nodes (such as 28nm, 40nm, and 65nm), which offer stability and cost efficiency for applications like IoT and automotive, to advanced nodes (including 7nm and 14nm), which are essential for AI chips and advanced smartphone processors.
